Help Anna’s Books Improve Childhood Literacy in WNC
Make the world a better place!
Reading can enhance social skills, boost intelligence, improve self-esteem, build concentration, expand vocabulary, increase imagination, strengthen memory, develop critical thinking, build empathy, and slow cognitive decline.
Ways to Help
Spread the word and know the need
Follow our Facebook page, tell your friends, and understand the importance of improving childhood literacy in our community.
Donate Books
We accept book donations Saturdays 12-2 at Maple Grove UMC in Waynesville or by appointment.
Donate Time
Help us sort through donations. Clean, label, and level books for our local children to cherish.
Donate Funds
Help us provide our children with specific types of books we don’t often find used, such as books in non-English languages and books about various cultures.
Host a Book Drive
Encourage your family and friends to donate their used books to our mission. We give used books an incredible second life.
Read With a Kid
Crack open a book with a child in your life! Or check out First United Methodist Church of Waynesville’s Book Buddies early childhood initiative.

A Huge Thank You
to Our Community!
We wouldn’t be where we are today without our volunteers, sponsors, and partners. We are deeply grateful to the Anna’s Books community!
We Love Our Volunteers!
Girls and moms from Troop 12703 were our first book-sorting volunteers! Book sorting volunteers help us clean books, label them, and sort them into levels.
We deeply appreciate our sponsor, Grace Church in the Mountains
and our partners
